    Marylene Cloitre, PhD



    Marylene Cloitre, PhD, is a Research Health Science Specialist at the National Center for PTSD Dissemination and Training, Palo Alto VA Health Care Services and Director of the VA Mental Illness and Research Training (MIRT) Fellowship.

    She is also Clinical Professor (Affiliate) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. Dr. Cloitre’s research focuses on increasing access to care among Veterans with PTSD and related symptomatology, with special attention to women Veterans who have experienced MST.

    Cloitre’s research focuses primarily on the adverse impact of trauma on social and emotional functioning and the development of interventions to address these difficulties. She is currently the PI of an HSR&D Hybrid effectiveness-implementation trial to assess VVC-delivered psychotherapy to women Veterans with MST and comparing the benefits of Skills Training
